The Qurán Testimony

WHY WRITE THIS TRACT?
The Qur’an says, “For those who conceal that which We
sent down of clear scriptures and admonitions, after we
have revealed them to the people in the Scripture; those
God will curse, and the cursers will curse.” (Sura ll:159) God
commands in the Bible saying: “Go, and tell this people,
Hear ye indeed ...Cry aloud, spare not, lift up thy voice like
a trumpet...Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel
to every creature.” (Isaiah 6:9, 58:1; Mark 16:15) For this
reason, we feel the obligation to share with you the truths
of God.

THE MUSLlM'S BELIEF
The average Muslim believes that the Bible has been tampered
with; thus it was altered or changed. in this tract, it will be
proven to you that the Bible could never have been tampered
with. Both history and the Qur’an testify to that fact.

THE HISTORICAL PROOF
The historical proof lies in this question: Was the Bible changed
before or after Mohammed? Of course, the Bible could never
have been tampered with before the days of Mohammad;
otherwise, Mohammad would have attacked it. Instead,
Mohammed honored the Bible, and emphasized that it was the
Word of God. He admonished the world to read it, saying: “You
stand on nothing if you do not uphold the Torah and the
Gospel." {V:68}.

If you believe that the Bible was changed after the days of
Mohammed, then consider the following: At the time
Mohammed came, Christianity was spread throughout the
known world, with many denominations. The question arises:
For the benefit of which denomination was the Bible supposed
to have been altered? Was it for the benefit of the Catholics,
the Orthodox, or an independent denomination? Would the
denominations agree to the altering of the Bible in favor of one
special denomination? Was it possible for the Jewish sects to
submit to the altering of the Bible in favor of Christianity? The
answer is clear: That was impossible. If the traditional
Christians could alter the Bible, surely they would have
eliminated the verse which says: "Thou shalt not make unto
thee any graven image. " But they could not. Besides, by the
seventh century, there were thousands of Bibles circulated in
the churches of all denominations, in every tongue and in every
nation. There was no way they could have collected all those
copies of the Bible to alter them. Also, a large number of those
Bibles still exists in museums, and they are in complete
harmony. Therefore, anyone who claims that the Bible has
been tampered with is a person who ignorantly denies
historical facts and values.

THE QUR’AN TESTIMONY
The Qur’an testifies in many verses in favor of the Bible and its
infallibility. Let’s look at several:  But they have the Torah
wherein there is the Ordinance of God... and they have the
Torah wherein there is guidance and light by which the
prophets judge.” {V:43-48) "And we have given Moses the
Book, and followed up after him by messengers, and We gave
Jesus the Son of Mary clear scriptures, and We upheld Him
with the Holy Spirit... And We gave Him the gospel wherein
there is guidance and admonition unto the godly.” {ll:86) The
Qur'an also emphasized that the Bible is the Law of God,
which cannot be changed, when it said, “The Law of those
whom We sent before thee (i.e. before Mohammed), of
Messengers, and thou shalt not find altering to Our Law.”
{Surahs XV||:77, XXXlI|:62, VI:34, XXXV24 & 44)

The Qur'an describes the Bible as “Guidance and light unto the
world; a message and admonition unto the Godly; the
ordinance and the judgment of God; the Law of God; and the
Word of God.” How then can a man, whether they are a
Muslim or anyone else, dare oppose the very person of
God? When Muslims say that the Bible has been tampered
with, they are directiy accusing God of not being mighty
enough to preserve His Word and His Law. The question for
you is: Are you ready to stand before God on the Judgment
Day and charge Him with that accusation?

THE BIBLE MESSAGE
I repeat the Qur’an statement: You stand on nothing until
you uphold and believe the Bible message. The Bible tells
us that all people are sinners. “For all have sinned, and
come short of the glory of God,-” (Romans 3:23). This means
that every sinner is condemned to Hell. No man can save
himself, and even his good works are as filthy rags in God's
sight.

For this reason you are in need of a Saviour. The Bible
states, “But God commendeth his love toward us, in that,
while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us." (Romans 5:8)
“To him give all the prophets witness, that through his
name whosoever beiieveth in him shall receive remission of
sins.” (Acts 10:43)

God promises, "That if thou shait confess with thy mouth
the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God‘
hath raised him from the dead, thou shait be saved.”
(Romans 10:9) "But as many as received him, to them gave
he power to become the sons of God, even to them that
believe on his name:" (John 1:12) Now is the time for you to
accept the Lord Jesus Christ as your Saviour. Please accept
Him today! '

Medical theories on the cause of death in crucifixion Matthew W Maslen and Piers D Mitchell

INTRODUCTION Crucifixion may be defined as a method of execution by which a person is hanged, usually by their arms, from a cross or similar structure until dead. It has been used in many parts of the world and in many time periods; but is perhaps best known today as a cruel method of social control and punishment in the Roman Empire around 2000 years ago 1 (pp 22-3). In modern times, the medical profession has shown considerable interest in crucifixion. The typical aim of articles by this group has been to determine how crucified individuals actually died; and they often focus on the case of Jesus of Nazareth. Since Stroud's book of 1847, 2 at least 10 different theories have been proposed ( Table 1 ), and many more articles have been published suggesting various combinations of these theories. The 10 examples referenced in Table 1 have been chosen merely as representing the wide difference of opinion in the published literature: it is not an exhaustive lis

What is TULIP in Calvinism? by Matt Slick

The TULIP of Calvinism is the acronym which represents the five primary points which represent Calvinism : Total depravity, Unconditional election, Limited atonement, Irresistible grace, and Perseverance of the saints. Hence, they are called the five points of Calvinism. The five points "emerged from the Synod of Dort (1618– 19)." 1 "The system of Calvinism adheres to a very high view of scripture and seeks to derive its theological formulations based solely on God’s word. It focuses on God’s sovereignty, stating that God is able and willing by virtue of his omniscience, omnipresence, and omnipotence, to do whatever He desires with His creation. It also maintains that within the Bible are the following teachings: That God, by His sovereign grace predestines people into salvation; that Jesus died only for those predestined; that God regenerates the individual where he is then able and wants to c
