An Atheist's Error (Or is it an error?)

by Robert J. Stewart "For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who hold the truth in unrighteousness;" -Romans 1:18 The Atheist makes the grave and deadly error of deliberately rejecting the truth! But is Atheism really an error? Atheism is no mistake friend, it is a willing rejection of God Almighty. No child is an Atheist. A person does not become an Atheist until they've been brainwashed by some heathen teacher in a public school or godless university (or sadly by Atheist parents). Romans 1:18 teaches that mankind, even in his unrighteousness, HOLDS THE TRUTH. We read in the Word of God... "For the grace of God that bringeth salvation hath appeared to all men," -Titus 2:11 It is clear from the Bible that God's saving grace is extended to all humanity. Man HOLDS the truth at his fingertips. Proverb 1:20 says that wisdom crieth out in the streets for people to

What is Biblical Repentance?

by David J. Stewart Baptism and Repentance There is a great misunderstanding about "repentance." Such verses as Mark 1:4 confuse many people because they do not take into account the rest of the Bible. Mark 1:4 reads, "John did baptize in the wilderness, and preach the baptism of repentance for the remission of sins." By itself, this verse seems like It is teaching baptismal regeneration, but it certainly is NOT. This verse is referenced in Acts 11:16, "Then remembered I the word of the Lord, how that he said, John indeed baptized with water; but ye shall be baptized with the Holy Ghost." And a few verses later in Acts 11:21 we read, "And the hand of the Lord was with them: and a great number believed, and turned unto the Lord." This is Biblical repentance...turning to the Lord. Please note that NO mention of baptism is found in Acts 11 other than the one reference to John the Baptist in verse 16. Clearly, baptism was not req

The Simple Gospel

by David J. Stewart | May 2005 "Not With Wisdom of Words" (The Gospel doesn't need our help) "For Christ sent me not to baptize, but to preach the gospel: not with wisdom of words, lest the cross of Christ should be made of none effect." -1st Corinthians 1:17 I recently received an e-mail from a man inquiring how to witness to a Roman Catholic. He said he had a friend who was really having a hard time with the matter of "works" not being necessary for salvation. I shared with him the Bible's teaching on salvation, stressing that salvation is "by grace through faith" and NOT of works (Ephesians 2:8,9; Titus 3:5). I also shared with him Galatians 2:16... "Knowing that a man is not justified by the works of the law, but by the faith of Jesus Christ, even we have believed in Jesus Christ, that we might be justified by the faith of Christ, and not by the works of the law: for by the works of the law shall no flesh be justified.&quo

How to go to Heaven

According to the Word of God It is very simple to be saved and takes only a minute to explain. Please let me show you how to go to Heaven from the Bible, God's Word... 1. Man is a sinner. * Isaiah 53:6, "All we like sheep have gone astray; we have turned every one to his own way; and the LORD hath laid on him the iniquity of us all." * John 3:3, "Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God." * Romans 3:10, "As it is written, There is none righteous, no, not one." * Romans 3:23, "For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God." 2. There is a price on our sin―eternal death in Hell. * Romans 6:23, "For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord." * Romans 5:12, "Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by si
