There seems to be a reticence on the part of many Christians to make a Public profession of their faith by, for example, witnessing to the nation about its sins - protesting against proposed changes to the law of the land which go against the Word of God. The intention of this paper is to show that there is a biblical basis to do just that. We are called upon to CONTEND for the faith - and that earnestly: "Beloved, when I gave all diligence to write unto you of the common salvation, it was needful for me to write unto you, and exhort you that ye should earnestly contend for the faith which was once delivered unto the saints." Jude 1:3. We are called upon to FIGHT the good fight of faith: "Fight the good fight of faith, lay hold on eternal life, whereunto thou are also called, and hast professed a good profession before many witnesses." 1 Timothy 6:12.
