Testimony of Jim Hughes

Hi, my name is Jim Hughes and I would just like to tell you what the Lord Jesus has done for me.
The bible says that Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever and I can definitely confirm this. When I read my bible I learned Jesus healed people, set them free from demonic problems and most of all saved people from their sins. Having been born in Belfast, I ended up in England at a young age.

Unfortunately at a young age I started off on the wrong tract, petty theft soon ballooned onto shop-lifting, breaking into stores etc. By the time I was 18 I had served my third sentence in prison. Then one night I ended up in a big fight which resulted in myself, ending up with a dislocated hip, the person I was fighting with decided it was cramp and tried to straighten (not recommended). Anyhow off I went in an ambulance to the hospital where I was to spend the next 13 weeks. It was the best thing that ever happened to me, because for once it gave me time to think about my life.

I had met Christians before and lying there in hospital I realised that they were happy and weren't destroying their lives like I was. I knew about heaven and hell, but didn't know how to pray, so I just said a simple prayer, "Jesus change me." I thank God that there and then Jesus came into my life and gave me the power to live my life His way.

About a month into my hospital stay I was told to forget about walking again as my leg was paralyzed. After 3 months they sent me out with a caliper on my leg. I literally couldn't even move my toes, there was nothing they could do for me. But what man cannot do, Jesus can. On the first of August 1984 Jesus totally healed my leg and I haven't seen my caliper since. God has given me a lovely family, friends, a good church and so many things. No matter what we have mucked up in life, or what has thrown at us, Jesus can fix it. This I know for sure and hey, He really wants to. Jim Hughes.

A Physician Analyzes the Crucifixion

What is TULIP in Calvinism? by Matt Slick

The TULIP of Calvinism is the acronym which represents the five primary points which represent Calvinism : Total depravity, Unconditional election, Limited atonement, Irresistible grace, and Perseverance of the saints. Hence, they are called the five points of Calvinism. The five points "emerged from the Synod of Dort (1618– 19)." 1 "The system of Calvinism adheres to a very high view of scripture and seeks to derive its theological formulations based solely on God’s word. It focuses on God’s sovereignty, stating that God is able and willing by virtue of his omniscience, omnipresence, and omnipotence, to do whatever He desires with His creation. It also maintains that within the Bible are the following teachings: That God, by His sovereign grace predestines people into salvation; that Jesus died only for those predestined; that God regenerates the individual where he is then able and wants to c...

The Romans Road By David J. Stewart

“The Roman's Road” is popular method of presenting the Gospel using only Scriptures from the Biblical Book of Romans. It is certainly an effective soulwinning tool which every believer should be well familiarized with. It is called the “The Roman's Road” because it uses Scriptures from the book of Romans, the sixth book in the New Testament. Before I say another word let me WARN YOU that the Roman's Road is a false plan of salvation if you leave out the Gospel, which according to 1st Corinthians 15:1-4 is the DEATH, BURIAL and RESURRECTION of Jesus Christ. I realized recently that many versions of the Roman's Road tract does not even mention the resurrection of Jesus Christ. I am not against using the “The Roman's Road,” but you need to understand that it is not the Gospel unless you include Christ's death on the cross, His burial and bodily resurrection three days later. ...
