GOD'S 10 COMMANDMENTS By Martha Mac

EXODUS 20:3-17

1 - YOU SHALL HAVE NO OTHER "GODS" BEFORE ME

Is Money, Fame, People, TV, Internet, Things, Pleasures more important than God? (1 Jn 2:15-17)

Isa 43:10-11 "I alone am God. There is NO other God, there never has been and there never will be."
Rom 1:28-32 "They refused to acknowledge God, He abandoned them to their Evil minds…doing
things that should never be done (list of sins)...fully aware of God's Death Penalty."

2 - YOU SHALL NOT MAKE FOR YOURSELF AN IDOL

Is your "god" the Holy God of the Bible, or another god you invented in your mind? (Ez 14:3-11)
Is he a "god of love" who would never send anyone to Hell? (Mt 13:37-43; Rom 1:18 thru 2:16)
Rev 21:8 "...Idol Worshipers & All Liars, their Doom is in the Lake that burns with Fire and Sulfur."

3 - YOU SHALL NOT TAKE THE NAME OF GOD IN VAIN

If you've ever used God's Name in Vain ("Oh my G-d!") or as a Cuss Word you are a Blasphemer.
Lev 24:16 "Those who Blaspheme God will suffer the consequences of their Guilt and be Punished."
Ex 20:7 "The Lord will not let you go unpunished if you misuse His Name." (Eph 4:29)

4 - REMEMBER THE SABBATH DAY TO KEEP IT HOLY

Sports on TV, Shopping, etc…with no thought for God? (Ex 35:2; Isa 58:13-14; Mk 2:28)

5 - HONOR YOUR FATHER AND YOUR MOTHER

Honor & Show Respect For Your Parents. (Eph 6:1-3; Ex 21:17; 1Sam 15:23) Rom 1:30-32 "They are forever inventing new ways of Sinning and are Disobedient to their Parents…fully aware of God's death penalty for those who do these things." (Mt 15:4; Mk 7:10; 2Tim 3:1-2)

6 - YOU SHALL NOT MURDER

If you've Hated someone, God sees you as a Murderer. 1Jn 3:15 "Whoever Hates his brother is a
Murderer; and no Murderer has Eternal Life." Anger leads to a Guilty Judgment. (Mt 5:21-22; Jas 2:11)
Rev 21:8 "Murderers, Unbelievers, Immoral...their Doom is in the Lake that burns with Fire & Sulfur."

7 - YOU SHALL NOT COMMIT ADULTERY

Looking with Lust at a Person or Pornography is the same as Adultery in God's Eyes. Mt 5:27-28 Jesus says, "Whoever looks at a woman to Lust for her has already committed Adultery with her in his heart."
1Cor 6:9-10 "Those who indulge in Sexual Sin…Adulterers, Fornicators (ANY Sexual Activity Before Marriage), Homosexuals...NONE of these will have a share in the Kingdom of God." (Rom 13:9-14)

8 - YOU SHALL NOT STEAL

If you Steal one item, regardless of the amount, you are called a Thief. (Mk 7:20-23; Eph 4:28)
1Cor 6:9-10 "Thieves, Drunkards, Cheaters...NONE of these will have a share in the Kingdom of God."

9 - YOU SHALL NOT LIE

If you tell one Lie, you are called a Liar. Rev 21:8 "All Liars...their Doom is in the Lake that burns
with Fire & Sulfur." Prov 12:22 "Lying Lips are an Abomination to the Lord." (Col 3:9-10)
Mt 12:36-37 Jesus says, "You must give an account on Judgment Day of every Idle Word you speak."

10 - YOU SHALL NOT COVET

Is your main Focus & Desire after Worldly Things? (Mk 7:22; Rom 1:29-32; 1Tim 6:10; 1Cor 6:10)
Eph 5:5 says, "No Immoral, Impure, or Greedy Person will inherit the Kingdom of Christ and of God."

JESUS - 2 GREATEST COMMANDMENTS

MARK 12:30-31

1- LOVE THE LORD WITH ALL YOUR HEART, SOUL, MIND AND STRENGTH

Do you always: Think, Talk, & Do Things for Jesus? If not, your Love for Him is Lukewarm.(Rev 3:16) If you love Family, Friends, or the World more than Jesus, you will Perish. (Mt 10:37-39; 1Jn 2:15-17)

2 - YOU MUST LOVE YOUR NEIGHBOR AS YOURSELF

Do you Give those in need your Time & Money? Mt 25:45-46 Jesus says, "When you refused to help
the least of My Brothers, you were refusing to help Me; they'll go away into Eternal Punishment; the
Righteous to Eternal Life." In Lk 16:19-31 The Rich Man went to Hell, Poor Beggar went to Heaven.

"If we keep ALL of God's Laws except ONE, we're GUILTY of breaking them ALL." James 2:10

WE BROKE GOD'S LAWS - HOW DO WE ESCAPE GOD'S JUDGMENT?

In spite of our Failures to Obey God's Commands, He loved us so much, that He made a way of Escape from His Holy Eternal Wrath. (Rom 5:8) Here is God's Plan to save us from Eternal Hell: Jesus always existed as God, with God the Father. (Jn 1:1,14; Jn 10:30; Rev 22:13) Jesus became a man (Jn 1:14; Php 2:5-11; Col 2:9) Born of a Virgin, Conceived by the Holy Spirit. (Mt 1:18; Lk 1:26-35) On the Cross, a Holy God poured out His Anger, Fury, & Wrath, that we deserved because of our Sin (Eph 2:3-4; 1Th 5:9-10), onto a Holy, Perfect, & Sinless Jesus. (Heb 4:15; 1Pe 1:19; 2:22-24; Col 2:14; Isa 6:3) Jesus became our Substitute when He died on the Cross. (2Co 5:21) Heb 9:22 "Without the shedding of blood, there is no forgiveness of sins." God treated Jesus as if He had personally committed every Sin, committed by every Person, who would ever Repent & Believe. (1Pe 3:18) Jesus physically rose from the Dead. (Lk 24:36-43; 1Cor 15:3-8) Jesus is Returning Soon to Judge the World with Justice. (Rom 2:5-11; 2Th 1:7-9) Jesus is the ONLY Way to be Saved from Hell. (Jn 14:6; Acts 4:12; Isa 43:11)

GOD COMMANDS EVERYONE TO:

"God Commands everyone everywhere to Repent of their Sins and Turn to Him.
For He has set a Day for Judging the World with Justice by Jesus Christ." ACTS 17:30-31

1 - REPENT & TRUST JESUS

Luke 13:3,5 Jesus says, "You will also Perish (Hell) unless you Repent of your Sins & Turn to God."
(Mt 4:17; 18:3-4; Mk 1:15; 2Cor 7:10; Acts 2:38; 3:19; 20:21)

2 - FORSAKE ALL SIN

1John 3:9-10 "Those who have been born into God's family do not make a Practice of Sinning, because God's life is in them. So they can't keep on Sinning, because they are Children of God. So now we can tell who are Children of God and who are children of the devil. Anyone who does Not live Righteously and does Not love other Believers does Not belong to God."

3 - OBEY GOD'S COMMANDMENTS & GOD'S WORD

1 John 2:3-6 "We can be sure that we belong to Him IF we Obey His Commandments. If someone claims, 'I know God,' but doesn't Obey God's Commandments, that person is a Liar and is not living in the Truth. But those who Obey God's Word really do love Him. That's the way to know whether or not we live in Him. Those who say they live in God should live their lives as Christ did." (Deut 6:5-9;Josh 1:8;Mt 5:19)

4 - CONFORM TO JESUS, NOT THE WORLD

Romans 12:2 "Don't be Conformed to this World, but let God transform you into a new and different person by changing the way you think. Then you will know what God wants you to do, and you will know how Good, Pleasing, and Perfect His Will really is. Rom 8:29-30 "God also Predestined (His Chosen) to be Conformed to the Image of His Son Jesus."

5 - CAST DOWN THOUGHTS & EVERYTHING CONTRARY TO GOD'S WORD

2 Cor. 10:5 "Casting Down Imaginations, and every High Thing that exalts itself against the Knowledge of God, and bringing into Captivity every Thought to the Obedience of Christ."

6 - GLORIFY GOD

1 Cor. 10:31 "Whatever you Eat, Drink, or Do, you must Do All for the Glory of God."

"If what you Say, Think, or Do is Contrary to God's Word, you are being Deceived!"sm —Martha Mac

Rev 12:9 "Satan deceives the Whole World." (2 Cor 4:4; Eph 2:2-3)

"Life Is Short, Hell Is Forever, Repent & Trust Jesus!"sm

Medical theories on the cause of death in crucifixion Matthew W Maslen and Piers D Mitchell

INTRODUCTION Crucifixion may be defined as a method of execution by which a person is hanged, usually by their arms, from a cross or similar structure until dead. It has been used in many parts of the world and in many time periods; but is perhaps best known today as a cruel method of social control and punishment in the Roman Empire around 2000 years ago 1 (pp 22-3). In modern times, the medical profession has shown considerable interest in crucifixion. The typical aim of articles by this group has been to determine how crucified individuals actually died; and they often focus on the case of Jesus of Nazareth. Since Stroud's book of 1847, 2 at least 10 different theories have been proposed ( Table 1 ), and many more articles have been published suggesting various combinations of these theories. The 10 examples referenced in Table 1 have been chosen merely as representing the wide difference of opinion in the published literature: it is not an exhaustive lis

What is TULIP in Calvinism? by Matt Slick

The TULIP of Calvinism is the acronym which represents the five primary points which represent Calvinism : Total depravity, Unconditional election, Limited atonement, Irresistible grace, and Perseverance of the saints. Hence, they are called the five points of Calvinism. The five points "emerged from the Synod of Dort (1618– 19)." 1 "The system of Calvinism adheres to a very high view of scripture and seeks to derive its theological formulations based solely on God’s word. It focuses on God’s sovereignty, stating that God is able and willing by virtue of his omniscience, omnipresence, and omnipotence, to do whatever He desires with His creation. It also maintains that within the Bible are the following teachings: That God, by His sovereign grace predestines people into salvation; that Jesus died only for those predestined; that God regenerates the individual where he is then able and wants to c
